Frequently Asked Questions
The following questions provide explanations and responses for straightforward and insightful questions, from me (Liam), Sciucation as a platform, and the content that I publish.
What is Sciucation?
Sciucation is the blog I created, Liam Lopez! It’s main message is to embrace critical thinking, scientific education, and unconventionality, that is my main niche. The other content, such as science and pseudoscience reviews, and proof-of-concepts are examples of my process.
Why did you started Sciucation?
I wanted to share my journey with the world and demonstrate that your mindset shapes the life you lead. For instance, I realized that anyone do not truly use critical thinking, yes they can thinking fair-minded, but there is so much more than that. That is my journey, teach critical thinking and unconventionality.
What is the content that Sciucation is publishing?
Currently, I plan to provide blog posts granting critical thinking and unconventionality. The secondary content are comprehensive explanations of pseudoscience phenomena, investigation of physical and life phenomena, proofs-of-concept, and study techniques that anyone is welcome to use to improve their chances of success! Some posts may have links redirecting you to Scribd that has a “research article” for you to read.
How do you perform your research of the blogs’ topics?
I use numerous techniques to acquire the information I need. Instead of using a search engine to find answers, I use open-source intelligence (OSINT) to find known and obscure publically known information for my research. Furthermore, I contact scientific community members for their statements, literature, or reports and organize my sources. This process may seem simple, but it takes time and is worth the trouble.
What is your blog schedule?
The term “blog schedule” refers to the duration between blogs. These can be days, weeks, or even months. The periods between each one depend on the topic. For example, as mentioned in one of the FAQs, some topics that interest me would have an attached PDF, so that would take the most time.
